The burnt sienna color is an earthy, rustic hue. In the early Renaissance there was a state called "Burnt Sienna" after this place's soil—it seemed like they knew what they were doing! The pigment can apply itself in layers to create different effects depending on how you use it- few paints do so much by themselves but most will take any strategy that gets applied next too them without hesitation or boredom Layers are encouraged with Burnt Siena if one desires depth while still having plenty of contrast; however I find myself happily stuck between its endless possibilities when given time alone long enough for inspiration strike
