About

Navy Blue

The color navy blue has been a staple of military dress in England since 1748. It was originally used to differentiate between ranks on ships, but it soon became popularized around the world as an officers' uniform due to its stark yet sophisticated look.

A reference point for this shade comes from The Royal Navy which began using uniforms made out of wool fabric with different shades ranging from dark greenish-blue through indigo - however these colors didn't gain popularity until after World War II when they were needed again just like before WWI had ended!
