History of Christmas

The Christmas season is a time of joy and celebration. What if we could go back in time to the very beginning, when the first Christmas was celebrated? The word "Christmas" comes from two different words: Christ and Mass. Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ at this time of year by remembering how God sent his son to earth as a baby so that everyone can be saved. The date for December 25th was chosen because it is nine months after March 25th, which is considered the birthday of John the Baptist.
