In OFFEO, there are several tools and shortcuts that we have that can help you with your work. We compiled some of the best tips in this video so you can spend precious time working on other things.
1. Default font for your text
You can determine the default font to add into your canvas so you don’t need to change it every single time. Simply head to “my brands” and change the primary font and secondary font. It’ll replace your “heading” and “sub-heading” font in the canvas.
2. Replace Image
Whenever you are working on a template design, always use the replace image function. Other than retaining the size of the original image, it also takes over the duration and animation type that was applied. The result? A lightning fast way to create a video that’s ready-to-use.
3. Smart Resizing
Once you are done with a project, you should maximize it’s potential on different platforms. That means repurposing it to a different size. Duplicate your original project and enter it. Use “smart resize” and choose the format that you want to change to.
Our program will try it’s best to reposition all the elements to fit into the new size. Do some minor tweaks to perfect the positionings. You can use the “fit to” function by clicking on an image, and find “position” in the top bar. Fit it to height or width quickly to fit the design.
4. Multiple Selection
Holding shift and selecting layers on the timeline allows you to multi-select layers. You can group them together and apply effects and animation to these layers all at once. Layer duration can also be adjusted at the same time.
5. Copying and Pasting between scenes
If you are working on multiple scenes, select the layers you would like to transfer to another scene and copy them with “ctrl+c”. Paste it with “ctrl+v” in the scene that you like.
6. Keyboard Shortcuts
The whole list of keyboard shortcuts can be found in the bottom left corner of the canvas. The frequent ones that we recommend are:
- Spacebar for playback from beginning
- Ctrl+Spacebar to playback from current frame
- Ctrl+D to duplicate
- Ctrl+Shift+; to vertical align and Ctrl+Shift+’ to horizontal align. Use it both together to quickly centralise your layer.
7. Saved Favourites
Once you’re used to the OFFEO platform, there’s bound to be some graphics and elements that you have an inclination to. On the upper right hand corner of each graphic, you can access a dropdown to save it to your favourites.
Access these in your “saved” tab to quickly add them to your project. Filter
