International Day of Peace

21st September each year is observed around the world as the International day of Peace. The General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples.
Anyone, anywhere can celebrate Peace Day. Millions of people in all countries do. It can be as simple as lighting a candle at noon, or just sitting in silent meditation.
